(2008/11/22) Family Sunday Make family day extra-special and prepare Chipotle-Dijon Barbecued Short Ribs (pictured). Heat oven to 350 degrees. Place 6 pounds short ribs, meaty-side up, in large roasting pan. Sprinkle with salt. Brush with 2 tablespoons chipotle pepper sauce (such as Tabasco or another brand). Bake 30 minutes.
(2008/11/15) Because cream pie fillings get poured into already baked crusts, you can save yourself some time and buy a prepared crust for this Eggnog Cream Pie recipe. If you don’t care for the taste of eggnog, substitute 1 cup of whole milk and increase the spices to 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg. Stir 2 tablespoons of rum, brandy or whiskey into the cream along with the vanilla.

(2008/11/15) Family Sunday This Chicken with Caramelized Onions (see recipe) is just right for a fall family meal. Serve it with rice, green beans and a mized green salad. Add whole-wheat rolls. The dessert, chocolate malt ice cream cake, will make everyone happy. Arrange 8 frozen ice cream sandwiches, long sides touching, on a serving plate. Spread an even layer of light chocolate whipped cream over top. Scatter with 1/3 cup chopped malted milk balls. Repeat layers twice, garnishing top with a few whole malt balls.
