SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) � A 4-month-old baby died early Friday after a man jumped with the infant in his arms from the burning duplex in Sheboygan, police said.

Four people living on the first floor got out safely after the fire broke out about 3:30 a.m. Friday in the two-story duplex. But flames and smoke trapped a man, woman and 4-month-old child in a second-floor apartment.
The woman jumped from a window and suffered minor injuries in the fall. The man landed in a window well after jumping, police said, and he and the baby were not immediately discovered.

Lt. Tim Eirich said the child died at St. Nicholas Hospital. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial.
