n One of the candidates running for president will be our president for a four-year term, and a good part of our population will not have the president of their choice, and maybe even then the new president will not have been our original choice even if he wins by a large electoral vote.
nHowever, whoever becomes the president should be supported by all U.S. citizens as he has a gigantic job assignment, and hopefully, this president will use his best intelligent skills and judgment and also choose the best cabinet possible to do what is good for our country
n Should this new president not be able to adequately handle the job or do unethical things, or even die, our Constitution provides us with solutions — as messy as they might be!
n We once had another president barely elected mainly due to a party split. He was not well-liked by many, had a cantankerous cabinet, had tragedy in his family, had a wife who gave him additional problems and as commander-in-chief oversaw a horrific war where he made several poor judgment decisions.
But, all in all, he had the support of the majority of our citizens and soldiers. In spite of all this he did everything in his power to make essential decisions and do his best for the good our country. That, of course, was Abraham Lincoln, and he did OK.
