It’s funny how you can care for someone so very much and never find the time to tell them how much you love them.
Taking her good deeds for granted is a mistake many in our family have made over the years. My mom has spent her life trying to make life better for everyone around her and always maintained her sense of humor, no matter how difficult the situation.
My mom is a person who will drop everything to help not only her family but her friends as well. I wonder how many times someone has said to her, “Oh Sherry, you shouldn’t have.” She finds more joy in giving than receiving.
Besides being an exceptional cook, she’s also the one who willingly takes on the annual responsibility of having the entire family for all the big events — Christmas breakfasts, Thanksgiving dinners and family get-together.
Her grandchildren depend on her not only for advice but just enjoy being with her because she always makes them laugh and will be the first to say she’s fun to be with.
Besides being my mom, she’s also my best friend. I love you, Mom.
Love, Debbie, Kevin, Steve, Kayla, Stephanie, Nathan, Jordan.
